A client in the resource industry urgently required a specialist to come to Australia for repair and maintenance work for a key project.
Timelines for the project were critical and delays in the person arriving to Australia would have compromised on-site health and safety requirements and cause the delay of major project milestones. I was asked to try and secure the person’s visa as quickly as possible.
I prioritised the visa application and immediately instructed the applicant of their documentation requirements, advising on how these could be obtained most efficiently.
I then directed our administration team on the urgency of the matter and as a team we were able to quickly and accurately lodge a successful application with the Department of Home Affairs within 24 hours. The visa was granted by the Department soon after.
While the time-frame for preparing and lodging a Subclass 400 Short Stay Specialist visa can of course vary depending on the country the person is travelling from and a variety of other factors, we were able to respond quickly and deliver to the client’s urgent needs.
