What is WA Day?
WA Day is a public holiday that takes place on the first Monday in June each year to reflect on the beauty of Western Australia and the lifestyle it has to offer.
What is the history of WA Day?
Before 2012, WA Day was previously known as Foundation Day, which marked the day the first European settlers arrived from Britain to settle the Swan River Colony. Foundation Day was formally changed to WA Day in 2012 to be inclusive of all people in WA and its diverse cultural influences.
