Interstaff’s Managing Director, Sheila Woods was interviewed on ABC Radio Perth last month to comment on the Federal Government’s response to a ‘Review Into the Exploitation of the Migration System’ by Former Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Christine Nixon.

The Government’s response agreed – either wholly, in part or in principle with 24 of the 34 recommendations made in the Review, and it’s likely that this will result in a further crackdown on visa and immigration compliance.
In our experience, in 2023 we have already seen the Government start to make sponsorship and visa compliance a greater focus through an increase in requests for sponsorship audits of sponsor companies and we expect this trend to continue.
