Over 150 people attended the Skilled Migrants Professionals Seminar on Friday 18 March at Murdoch University to access valuable networking opportunities designed to help skilled migrants compete in the Australian job market.
Interstaff Visa Coordinator, Allieu Sesay said, “Seminars like the Skilled Migrant Professionals Seminar are great because they provide a chance to network with community groups and businesses who can support them through the transition of starting a professional career in Australia.”
As the major event sponsor, Interstaff International assisted migrant professionals seeking specialist advice on obtaining an Australian work visa. Skilled Migrant Professional attendees received an exclusive coupon offer available via the free Skilled Migrant Professionals mobile app.
Groups offering assistance to skilled migrants included academic groups such as the Australian Chinese Youth Association, African Professionals Association, the Management and Governance Society, as well as not-for-profit organisations for professionals working with children, such as Meerilinga.
Attendees also sought assistance from coaching and training providers, Aveling and Persuasive Communications, recruitment businesses such as The Phillipines Recruitment Company and finance brokers, Loan Market.
The seminar created a hub for networking opportunities and vital business information with seminar topics including how to navigate cultural differences through effective communication strategies and how to utilise networking and social media strategies for successful job searching.
